Port Captain and operations supervision

When a shipping line or cargo owner needs authority and qualified eyes on the pier without contracting the full stevedoring, T&T attends the vessel as Port Captain: supervising the operation, protecting the vessel’s and cargo’s position, and producing the complete documentary record of the call.

ExperiencePort Captains trained under international standards set by the lines we represent

Our Port Captains have been trained by instructors assigned by the international lines themselves, under international safety standards, and carry decades of experience on eastern Venezuelan piers. During the call they verify handling practices, log every delay and stoppage with its cause, document cargo condition, and escalate immediately anything that puts the vessel, the cargo or the laytime position at risk.

The output is a record that stands up to scrutiny: Daily Vessel Reports, a Statement of Facts consistent with the tally and the photographic file, and immediate notice of events that matter commercially. That record has supported owners, charterers and underwriters in commercial discussions and claims.

Does T&T supervise operations performed by other stevedores?
Yes. Port Captain attendance over third-party stevedores is a core configuration of this service, with full reporting to the principal.
